I first
competed in bodybuilding in 2007 and won the BNBF Central England Championship, Novice class. This qualified me for the BNBF
British Finals held in Glasgow Scotland, in which I came 2nd. I then competed in the NAC British Championship, Mr Athletic
class, placing 1st in my class and 1st again in the Mr Athletic overall title as British Champion. I then qualified for
Mr Universe in Germany representing Great Britain, of which I am extremely proud.
I have always
loved being involved in sport and as a child, was involved in many sporting activities. I played basketball, hockey,
badminton and rugby, playing at County school boy level. However, my first love was athletics, in which I competed at a very
early age, running for a local running club, Luton United, in which I competed in various events from 100m and 200m up to
400m. I competed at a high level just missing out in competing for Great Britain junior team. I ranked as high as 4th
in the country and 10th in the world at the time, in the 400m in a time of 49sec, at 16years old.
Unfortunately
due to injury my running career came to an end but my interest in sport continued. Then I started
to attend my local gym where I just worked out to keep fit and was approached by my good friend and personal trainer, Chris
Burford, who asked if I would like a new challenge.
Coming from a competitive background I accepted and this
is how I got involved in natural bodybuilding. Through hard work, determination and mental strength, I have excelled so far.
